IPO Section Italy at the 5th Edition of the Local Police Forum in Bergamo
Today, one of Italy’s most important national events dedicated to urban and road safety opened at the Bergamo Exhibition Centre.

Our presence underscores the International Police Organization’s ongoing commitment to fostering inter-agency cooperation, advanced professional training, and a strong culture of security.

On the first day, the spotlight focused on several major challenges facing local police forces:
* Reform of the Highway Code: An in-depth analysis of upcoming regulatory changes and the evolution of urban micromobility.
* Technology in the Service of Law Enforcement: The use of artificial intelligence in video surveillance, drones for territorial monitoring, and protocols governing the use of body-worn cameras.
* Operational Training and Professional Excellence: A focus on essential skills, including first-response techniques and the detection of forged documents, where professional expertise and continuous training make a real difference in the field.

As an international organization holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), IPO firmly believes that the future of security depends on cooperation, the exchange of best practices, and innovation in the tools available to local police forces.

The event and opportunities for professional dialogue will continue tomorrow!
