The International Police Organization – Montenegro Section, with the support of the Municipality of Bar, successfully organized an educational workshop entitled “Empowered Women – the Foundation of a Safe Community”, as part of the broader project of the same name.

The workshop was led by Momčilo Šćekić, Executive Director of IPO Montenegro, who spoke about the modern challenges that women face today. He emphasized the importance of economic independence, entrepreneurship, and family support as essential elements for women’s empowerment. Special attention was dedicated to the increasing problem of cyber violence, highlighting that prevention, education, and institutional protection are the key pillars of women’s safety in the digital age.
The support of the Municipality of Bar for this initiative reaffirms the local community’s commitment to building a safer and fairer society. It also sends a powerful message that women are not alone in the fight against violence and discrimination — behind them stands a community that promotes solidarity, trust, and mutual respect.
Participants of the workshop had the opportunity to exchange experiences, share ideas, and offer mutual support, thereby strengthening the sense of unity and security among women.
Through these joint efforts, IPO Montenegro and the Municipality of Bar are sending a clear and inspiring message:
investing in women’s empowerment means investing in a more stable, inclusive, and safer future for all.
“Let us build a safer and better future together for all our women.”
