IPO NORTH MACEDONIA SUPPORTS WOMEN’S ROLE IN PEACEBUILDING AT JHR PANEL

The International Police Organization – IPO North Macedonia took part in a significant public panel organized by Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) under the theme “Women as Pillars of Resistance and Peace in the Face of War Threats.” The event, held today in Skopje, aimed to shed light on the vital contribution of women to peacebuilding and resilience in the face of conflict and insecurity.



The panel brought together voices from the media, civil society, and public institutions to engage in a dialogue on strengthening women’s roles in crisis response and security-related decision-making.


IPO North Macedonia was officially represented by its President, Mr. Sejfulla Bekteshi, and his assistant, Ms. Berina Idrizi, who both conveyed their strong support for women’s inclusion in processes that shape peace and societal stability.


Women are not only a symbol of resilience, but a driving force for stability and peace in every society,” emphasized Mr. Bekteshi during his speech.


By participating in this event, IPO North Macedonia continues to affirm its dedication to inclusive security policies and the empowerment of women as key actors in creating peaceful and resilient communities.
