On April 18, 2026, at the Faculty of Engineering Management, and at the invitation of IPO Serbia, an outstanding lecture was held by our dear colleague, Siniša Đurković, on the occasion of the opening of the new section, “Safe Step,” dedicated to the prevention of violence, remedial work with children, and the strengthening of support mechanisms for their healthy development and protection.

The lecture focused on Module 1 and was truly professional, comprehensive, and highly valuable. Through expert insight, practical examples, and a thoughtful approach to this important topic, the audience had the opportunity to gain useful knowledge and a deeper understanding of the significance of timely prevention, proper guidance, and adequate support in working with children and young people.

The opening of the “Safe Step” section marks an important step toward promoting a safer, healthier, and more supportive environment for children, as well as strengthening interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of violence prevention and remedial educational work.

We are especially honored that, among our distinguished guests, there were also official representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, whose presence further emphasized the importance of this topic and the need for joint action by educational institutions, professional associates, and relevant state bodies.

Following the lecture, a pleasant gathering was organized, during which participants had the opportunity to continue their discussions, exchange professional experiences, share ideas, and establish new contacts for future cooperation. This informal networking once again confirmed how important dialogue, mutual support, and the exchange of knowledge are in building stronger and more effective systems of protection and care for children.

We thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event and look forward to future activities that will continue to promote education, cooperation, and social responsibility.
