THE 3rd INTERNATIONAL IPO CONGRESS 2024 TIRANA, ALBANIA

The 3rd Congress of the International Police Organization IPO brings together state institutions and over 200 participants from over 30 different countries.

The Headquarters of the International Police Organization IPO organized the 3rd International Congress in Tirana today, Saturday, June 22 at the Tirana International Hotel.

Embracing the IPO principle, "To contribute together, for a Safer Community, for a Safer Tomorrow" and with the guidance of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime UNODC, this Congress was focused on Organized Crime International and Counter-Terrorism.

This important high-level international event, which brought together more than 200 participants, representatives of various police sections from several countries of the world, took place within the framework of cooperation agreements that the IPO has with the General Directorate of the Albanian State Police GDASP- DPPSH and with other Albanian Institutions such as the General Directorate of Civil Status GDCS - DPGJC in the Ministry of the Interior, the Center for the Prevention of Juvenile and Youth Crimes CPJYC - QPKMR in the Ministry of Justice, the General Directorate of Prisons GDP - DPB, the State Agency for the Rights and Protection of Children SARPC - ASHDMF in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Albania etc.., gathering 30 different countries of the world, mainly from Europe and the Balkan countries, High-level Representatives from State Institutions, Law Enforcement Agencies as well as Experts from the private sector who shared their expertise with the attendees.

The International Police Organization IPO works to foster international cooperation and understanding between law enforcement agencies and promote effective and efficient police practices.

The presentations focused on demonstrating how the IPO collaborates with various international institutions to provide security solutions and cooperation between state institutions and other actors.

The Congress was a serious innovation to bring together all leaders and members of IPO sections to get to know each other, exchange ideas and experiences, and share their expertise with each other.
