Every year, on 18 October, the European Union marks the European Anti-Trafficking Day to raise awareness and strengthen cooperation in the fight against this serious crime. Human trafficking remains one of the gravest violations of human rights, affecting thousands of victims across Europe and worldwide.

The International Police Organization IPO supports the global efforts of the United Nations and the European Union in combating human trafficking by promoting international cooperation between law enforcement structures and civil society organizations.
IPO contributes to this cause through:
• Promoting training and awareness campaigns for the identification and protection of victims;
• Exchanging information among members to prevent criminal networks;
• Cooperating with institutions and international agencies on law enforcement and human rights protection.
On this occasion, Honorary President of IPO, Mr. Ilija Životić, gave a special interview addressing the current challenges in combating human trafficking, the importance of international cooperation, and the role that organizations like IPO can play in preventing this phenomenon.
On this day, IPO reaffirms its commitment to a safer society — one built on dignity, freedom, and human rights for all, standing firmly against every form of human trafficking.
