Updated: May 28

As every year, the International Police Organization was present at the European Police Congress 2025, one of the most important forums for international security and cooperation.

Berlin, 20–21 May 2025 – The 28th European Police Congress convened in Berlin, bringing together more than 2,300 participants from over 20 countries, including representatives of law enforcement agencies, government institutions, international organizations, and the private sector. The event reaffirmed its status as a premier platform for dialogue on internal security policy and operational cooperation across Europe.

Held under the guiding theme “Security for Europe – Resilience and Cooperation in Times of Uncertainty,” the congress addressed the increasing complexity of security challenges affecting the European Union and its neighboring regions. Through a combination of high-level keynotes, expert-led panels, and sector-specific forums, participants explored the strategic, legal, and technological dimensions of modern policing.

An integral part of the congress was the accompanying technology exhibition, which presented advanced digital solutions supporting police operations, data analysis, and investigative processes. Featured technologies included tools for digital evidence management, open-source intelligence gathering, and automated accident reconstruction, underscoring the growing reliance on innovation in modern law enforcement.

During the 2 days of the congress, IPO Executive President, Dr. Mareglen Tomori, together with IPO Honorary President, Prof. Ilija Zivotic, and other IPO representatives, had the opportunity to meet with high-level personalities from European law enforcement agencies, the Ministries of Interior of Serbia, Albania, and other countries in the region.
