IPO DELEGATION MEETINGS AT UNITED NATIONS GENEVA

Official Meetings at the United Nations, Geneva: Strengthening Global Security, Human Rights and Youth Protection.



During March, a series of high-level events and meetings were held at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, focusing on addressing global security challenges and fundamental human rights, particularly regarding the safety and well-being of minors and young people. Dr. Mareglen Tomori, Executive President - CEO of the International Police Organization IPO, along with Mr. Imet Cafleshi, Permanent Representative of the IPO Mission to the UN in Geneva and President of IPO Section Switzerland, had the honor and pleasure of holding meetings and engaging in discussions with senior UN officials.


A Strategic Dialogue on Crime Prevention and Security

During these important engagements with senior UN officials and field experts, essential discussions were held on urgent issues such as crime prevention among minors and young people, international cooperation to strengthen security mechanisms, and the development of effective emergency response strategies. The meetings emphasized the need for a unified global effort to combat crime and protect vulnerable communities, especially young people at risk of marginalization and criminalization.

One of the key topics discussed was the role of education and community engagement in preventing migration-related risks and criminal activities among young people.
